Follow us to Pattaya, Thailand. Day 1&2

Yes, we went to Thai again, spent 5 days 4 nights from June 1 to June 5. This post is really really late because I was very busy balancing my life with academic, work and helping out an event. Without further delay, let's start the journey!

Day 1, we flew from KUL (Kuala Lumpur) to UTP (Utapao) and arrived there in the evening. Utapao is located at Rayong, which is 1 hour drive from Pattaya.

We stop by the gas station to grab some food and refresh ourselves. We ordered 2 plates of fried rice and a plate of fried noodle (padthai), it was a small portion and taste so-so. We also saw a little stall selling fried fishcakes and we bought 1 big box right away. It was so good and we bought another big box before we leave, sorry for no picture taken since we were too hungry hahaha.

Then, the tour guide brought us to have a early dinner before we go to our 'temporary home'. The restaurant is at the sea-side, so windy and lovely. We had Tom Yam Goong, fried chickens with thai chili sauce, sour steamed fish, vegetables plate, sweet and sour fish fillets and mix vegetables. It was so licking good especially with good company and a great view.

We went to Tesco Lotus to get our breakfast for the next 4 days (the villa does not provide breakfast). Spent around 5000++ baht for milk, fruit juices, cereal, rice, spam, eggs, bread, yogurt, fruits, noodles and so on. After that, we headed straight to our 'temporary home' - Jomtien Chic Villa. It is a fully-equipped holiday villa with 7 bedrooms and a private swimming pool. Here are some photos of the villa.

Good morning, it's day 2! Off to Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden after we had our healthy breakfast. The Nong Nooch Garden received a few awards for Excellent of Tourism for recreation. It is one of the high ranking tourist attraction, so make sure you drop by here if you are coming to Pattaya. You can simply spend half a day taking pictures, walking around, enjoying the beautiful plants. Too bad that our tour guide only allowed us to spend a very minimum of time here, so we got on a ride instead of walking around. The ride is 20 minutes and stop 2 points for you to take photos (cactus farm and siamese style building).

Then, we watched a cultural show, showing each part of thailand's traditional dances, music and some fun facts. There is also a elephant show and saw a yeng lou there HAHAHAAH.

We visited Laser Buddha as known as Phra Phuttha Maha Wachira Uttamopat Satsada. The Buddha image was carved out with laser technology and inlaid with gold leaves.

We also went to Wat Yangsangwararam Temple, it is surrounded by a garden and a lake which make it look like a recreation park.

shhh prayers going on

The 3rd place we visited is Mini Siam, is just like another 世界之窗(China), miniatures of famous landmarks all around the world. The sun was scorching hot so we just quickly walk around and find a shady place to rest. It would be better to visit here early morning or in the evening to avoid the burning sun.

rest and go
We came to Mimosa to watch a show but there is an hour till the show starts. Therefore, all of them except me went for a 1 hour foot message while I walk a wander around the area. I highly recommend to this place to watch Lady Boys show, even better than the Tiffany's Show. It is an outdoor show and the audience sit very close to the stage. The lady boys often walk to the audience seat and interact with boys HAHAHHA such as sitting on their lap, kissing them on their cheeks. It was funny and well entertained.

The shows ends at 6.15pm, it is dinner time! Our tour guide brought us to a sea-side restaurant to have our seafood cravings fixed. The workers working in the restaurant have uniform themed sailor.
