We went down to Desaru, Johor on early December to have our short getaway from the busy city. We depart from my house at 8am morning. Then, we had our simple breakfast at a restaurant near by my house and continue our journey to Johor after that. It took us around 4 and a 1/2 hour to reach Desaru. I'm gonna share my 2 days 1 night stay at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort.
It was said to be the best resort in Desaru. I'm surprise by the large area of this resort, it consists of 17 accommodation blocks from A to Q. The reception is quite far from the entrance since they relocated their lobby. There is shuttle service throughout the whole resort, but you can choose to walk around as the distance between blocks are within walking distance.
Our room is pretty big and well-equipped with safety box, refrigerator, hair-dryer, microwave, electric water heater (I'm not sure if the name is correct), mineral water, sachets of coffee and tea. They also provide some toiletries, bring your own will better HAHAHAH. A two-bedroom suite cost about RM700++ for 4 pax, breakfast included.
We went to the beach after we checked in and change into our swim suit. It was sunny but the waves are high during the end of the year. I had a great time with my family.

My family members (except me) never try the banana boat before, and here it is their first try! We did not fall into the angry ocean because my mom, my sis and my bro was too frighten and keep on shouting the word S-L-O-W, so the boat driver was too smart and bring us back to the shore safely. It was not a good one like the one I had with my friend in Langkawi. We spent for RM150 for 5 person to get a ride on banana boat.

After riding the boring banana boat, my dad asks the 3 of us to go for a new item which has a name called band wagon. The driver gone mad and drove us with high speed. It was fun, even better than the banana boat previous because we went on this without my mom. RM50 per pax for band wagon.

Later, we jumped into the pool. The depth of the pool is quite suitable for me (5 feet if I'm not mistaken). There is a children pool and a row of Jacuzzi at the side of the pool. The pool amazed me because I don't feel any sand in it. Normally, the pool in beach resort contain some sand under and stepping on it makes me feel uncomfortable. The water in the pool is very clear and warm. I would rate this pool 5 out of 5! The best pool so far I have seen.

The next morning, we woke up at 7 and enjoy our breakfast buffet at the Sea View Restaurant. There is lots of choices for breakfast such as Chinese, Indian, Malay Cuisine and Western Food. The food was great, mainly because they have my favourite juice - pink guava juice.

The star attractions is at the last part of the trip. Our (my bro and I) first attempt in parasailing. It was so windy up there, feel like a free bird. It cost RM110 per pax for a 5 minutes parasailing.
My sister follow my dad to have a ride on jetski which cost RM80 per person for 20 minutes ride.

There is other facilities and activities to do such as, paint ball shooting, archery, bungee jumper, pipe walking and so on. We do not have extra time to try all these. That is the end of the trip! We definitely will come back for other water sports and try out another resort.
